intention of the Salaries Commission to more than

double in 1930, the 1928 salary of any officer and,

seeing that the salaries allotted to the Chinese Medical Officers under the present revision give a

minimum increase of 33% over their salaries in 1928,

we consider the allotment fair.

39.

We consider that the salaries of the

Assistant Visiting Medical Officer for Chinese Hospital

and the fedical Officers for Schools should alike be

S

$6,600 per annum, the sum of $7,800 proposed in Sessional Paper No.3. of 1930 for the former post having

been based on misinformation.

the Secretary of State its recommendations on the Report

now contained in Sessional Paper No.3. of 1930. These

recommendations advocated no change in the scales in

question and we do not feel at liberty to review this

decision.

41. We consider that the salary of Mr. A. Kurrik temporarily employed as an Assistant Analyst, should be increased to $500 per monsem as from the 1st of July, 1930.
